  • “I have been taking violin lessons from Anna for about four months and I think she is a great teacher; she is a classically trained, professional violinist who tailors her lesson to fit my individual needs. I am a beginner, and there are a lot of small things you need to learn in order to just play a note without it sounding horrible ( I speak from experience... ), but Anna is very good at helping me put all those things together. I'm leaning towards the folk, rock and Americana "fiddle" style music to start, and she has been great helping me with any song that I bring to the lesson. Anna is very easy to talk to, and is very patient with all my questions (I have a lot of them sometimes); she is very good at tweaking any bad habits of technique that I may fall into. I highly recommend her!”

  • “Anna Harris is a highly-professional and passionate violin instructor who gracefully balances technique, musicality, and theory in her instruction methods. She's always aware of the big picture - the meaning and purpose behind playing music - and she also pays attention to detail. She's great at adjusting her teaching style to help students reach their individual goals, and I'm always impressed with how much instruction she can pack into one lesson while keeping things feeling manageable. She gives clear guidance on what - and how - to practice before the next lesson. If you study with Anna, you can expect to be treated respectfully and to make real progress as a musician. I'd recommend her studio to children and adults.”
